Our Mission
Slavic Voice is a youth-led nonprofit media platform dedicated to amplifying the stories, experiences, and perspectives of Slavic individuals across the globe. Through multilingual journalism and cross-border collaboration, we provide a space for writers from Slavic countries and Slavic people living in non-Slavic nations to publish thoughtful, impactful articles in English or their native language. Our mission is to foster empathy, understanding, and shared learning across cultures by lifting up voices often unheard in mainstream discourse. We aim to connect Slavic people worldwide and stand with Ukraine in a time of violence and division, using storytelling and advocacy as tools for unity, resistance, and resilience.

Slavic Voice functions as an online newspaper and storytelling hub where contributors can share op-eds, personal essays, cultural commentary, investigative pieces, and creative work. Contributors may choose to publish in English or in their native language (with translations provided when possible) to retain cultural nuance and linguistic authenticity.

In addition to our publishing work, Slavic Voice organizes Slavic Cultural Festivals in cities such as San Francisco and New York to celebrate the richness of Slavic heritage through music, food, art, and storytelling. These festivals serve as both community-building and educational events — showcasing the diversity within Slavic cultures and strengthening ties across generations and regions.
